Welcome to Varsity.ng. By accessing or using varsity.ng and cbt.varsity.ng (collectively, “the Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Who we are

Varsity.ng is an independent Nigerian university admissions information platform, offering university profiles, cut-off marks, course search, a JAMB score checker, and (via cbt.varsity.ng) computer-based test practice for JAMB, WAEC, NECO, and Post-UTME.

2. Not an official admissions body

Varsity.ng is not affiliated with JAMB, NUC, or any university unless explicitly stated. We do not process admissions, accept applications on behalf of any institution, or guarantee admission outcomes. See our Disclaimer for details.

3. Accounts

Some features (e.g., CBT practice, saved searches) require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for unlawful purposes
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute our compiled course/university database without permission
  • Attempt to disrupt, hack, or reverse-engineer the Platform
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity
  • Upload harmful code or content

5. Content accuracy

We work to keep admission data accurate and current using the methodology described in our Fact-Checking Policy and Editorial Policy, but information may become outdated. You are responsible for verifying critical details directly with the relevant university or JAMB before relying on them for an application.

6. Payments and subscriptions

Certain CBT practice features on cbt.varsity.ng may require payment. Prices, features, and refund terms (where applicable) will be clearly stated at the point of purchase. Payments are processed via third-party providers; their terms also apply.

7. Intellectual property

All original content, design, and compiled databases on the Platform are the property of Varsity.ng unless otherwise noted. See our DMCA Policy for copyright concerns.

8. Third-party links

The Platform links to official university websites, JAMB, and other third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of these external sites.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free content, or specific admission outcomes.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Varsity.ng and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including missed deadlines, rejected applications, or financial loss — arising from your use of the Platform.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
