TASU Opens Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening for 2026/2027 Admission

Taraba State University (TASU), Jalingo, has invited qualified candidates to apply for its 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.

The screening will be conducted online, giving eligible applicants the opportunity to complete the admission process without visiting the university. Registration begins on 24 July 2026 and will remain open until 23 September 2026.

Candidates who wish to study at TASU are advised to complete their application before the deadline and ensure they meet the university’s admission requirements.

Who Can Apply?

The screening exercise is open to candidates who selected Taraba State University as their first-choice institution during the 2026 UTME.

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Score at least 150 in the 2026 UTME.
  • Meet the admission requirements for their chosen course.
  • Have at least five relevant O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.

Although the university accepts candidates with a minimum score of 150, some programmes require higher UTME scores. Applicants should confirm the admission requirements for their preferred course before completing the application.

Direct Entry Requirements

Candidates applying through Direct Entry must also choose TASU as their first-choice institution.

In addition, applicants should possess at least a Lower Credit in a Diploma, NCE, IJMB, or another recognized qualification that is relevant to their intended programme.

They must also satisfy the required O’Level subject combinations.

How to Apply

Applications are completed online through the TASU admission portal.

The application process includes:

  1. Creating an applicant account.
  2. Filling in the online screening form.
  3. Uploading the required credentials.
  4. Completing the online payment.
  5. Printing the payment receipt and acknowledgement slip after submission.

Applicants are encouraged to review every detail carefully before submitting the form to avoid mistakes that could delay their admission.

Important Notice

Only candidates who successfully complete the online screening exercise will be considered for admission into Taraba State University.

The university also warns that providing false information or uploading incorrect documents may lead to disqualification at any stage of the admission process.
