Fountain University, Osogbo, has announced the resumption dates for students returning for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The university has scheduled different dates for newly admitted students and returning students. Fresh students are expected to resume on Sunday, 4 October 2026, while returning students will resume on Sunday, 18 October 2026.
The two-week difference gives new students an earlier opportunity to complete their initial campus arrangements before the return of existing students.

The resumption schedule for the 2026/2027 academic session is as follows:
| Student Category | Resumption Date |
|---|---|
| Fresh Students | Sunday, 4 October 2026 |

Students should take note of the date that applies to their category and make the necessary preparations before returning to the university.
Fountain University Freshers’ Resumption Date
Newly admitted students are expected to report to Fountain University on Sunday, 4 October 2026.
Fresh students will arrive before returning students as part of the university’s arrangement for the new academic session.
The early resumption period will allow newly admitted students to attend to their administrative clearance and hostel accommodation arrangements before the campus receives returning students.
Students offered admission should therefore plan their travel and accommodation arrangements around the announced date.
When Will Returning Students Resume?
Returning students are scheduled to resume on Sunday, 18 October 2026.
This is exactly two weeks after the resumption date for fresh students.
Students who are returning to continue their studies should make arrangements to be back on campus on or before the stated date.
Why Are the Resumption Dates Different?
Fountain University has assigned separate arrival dates to the two student groups.
Fresh students are scheduled to arrive first, giving them time to complete the necessary administrative processes and settle into their accommodation.
Returning students will then resume on 18 October 2026.
This means students should not assume that the freshers’ resumption date applies to everyone.
What Fresh Students Should Do
Students who have newly gained admission should use the period before resumption to prepare for their arrival.
They should:
